Phil Cripps has been appointed as site manager at Barratt Homes’ new development in Emsworth, where work is underway to create a community of one, two, three and four bedroom homes.
He will be responsible for overseeing construction at the site, liaising with construction workers, subcontractors and suppliers. Phil will also play a key role in mentoring local apprentices working on this latest new community.
“I’m delighted to be working on these superb new home designs here at Saxon Corner. I take great pleasure in making sure those who buy the houses we build are 100 percent happy with their purchase.
“Listening carefully to their needs and ensuring that everything is just right for them is hugely important. I have a great team here in Emsworth, and overseeing a safe site that is a great place in which to work is also a key part of my role.
“Progress is good and we’re all looking forward to opening the doors to what will be an impressive new community at Saxon Corner.”
Phil was recently recognised with a Pride in the Job award – given by the National House-Building Council (NHBC) to the very best site managers from around the country. Each year, 16,000 candidates enter the competition, and are judged against strict evaluation criteria – with just 450 individuals chosen.
Barratt Homes managing director Jon Green said:
“We are delighted to have Phil at the helm of our new development and know he will do a stellar job. Site managers such as Phil play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality new homes and it is this quality which should inspire confidence in our buyers.”
Saxon Corner is within walking distance of Havant town centre, with a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. Transport links are excellent, with the A27 to Chichester, and the A3 to Petersfield. There is a great choice of local schools, nurseries and colleges nearby.
